How is this different from shared hosting?
With shared hosting our system looks after the operating system, web server and updates. With a cloud instance you have your own server with root access — you decide what runs on it.
How long does provisioning take?
Usually a few minutes. You receive the access details in your customer account. We state 4 hours so you can plan — in practice it is almost always faster.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Talk to us and we move the instance to the next size. For running services we schedule a short maintenance window.
What does traffic cost?
Nothing. Traffic is included in the price and we do not bill it.
