Description

Filtering at the gateway is no longer enough on its own. Messages that get through arrive in the mailbox and stay there. GravityZone Extended Email Security therefore combines two layers: perimeter filtering through a Secure Email Gateway (SEG) and in-mailbox protection through Integrated Cloud Email Security (ICES) connected via API. Either layer can run on its own, or both together.

Analysis draws on machine learning, predictive threat intelligence and advanced content inspection. The product is built to catch business email compromise, phishing, identity theft, malicious content, spam and unwanted marketing mail. For authentication it supports SPF and DMARC, which helps prevent spoofing and impersonation. Outbound messages are scanned as well, so malware and spam do not leave your network and your sending reputation stays intact.

For day-to-day work there is a self-service quarantine with digest reports: employees release messages themselves, while administrators keep control through policy-based permissions. In Microsoft 365 the connection is native and API-based, and directory synchronization runs through Azure AD (Entra ID). That enables central management, multi-tenancy and automated post-delivery remediation, including company-wide email revocation.
