Description

Spam and phishing enter a business through its mail server. Filtering at that point decides what reaches users at all. GravityZone Security for Exchange Servers inspects inbound and outbound messages, filters attachments and content, and combines spam, phishing, virus and malware protection with behavioural analysis and zero-day detection.

The foundation is Bitdefender's Global Protective Network. Heuristic spam filtering recognises new and previously unknown spam from its characteristics and its similarity to messages already identified, backed by real-time data analysis against the security cloud. Virus Bulletin has recognised the spam protection with its Golden SPAM+ Award for the second year running.

The whole Exchange environment is covered, including all active mailboxes — user, room, equipment and shared. Malware scans can be offloaded from the mail servers to central security servers, so the mail servers themselves carry little of the load. Policies, reporting and deployment run centrally through the GravityZone console, with integration for Active Directory, VMware vCenter and Citrix XenServer.
