Phones and tablets are work devices. They travel through foreign networks, install apps from sources nobody vetted, and rarely get rebuilt from scratch. GravityZone Security for Mobile is a mobile threat defense (MTD) solution, not mobile device management. It analyses device behaviour on the device itself and picks up apps that behave like malware, unusual network traffic and phishing attacks.

Machine learning runs locally, so protection stays in place even when the device is offline, and no private data has to be sent to the cloud for threat analysis. On iOS and Android, local phishing protection is added, backed by a local VPN that processes traffic in real time without third-party services.

For administration, app review and app compliance provide a catalogue of approved applications and versions, custom policies, and actions on violations. Device assessment surfaces unencrypted data, jailbreaks and root access, classifies vulnerabilities along MITRE lines, and flags devices that no longer receive security updates. Web content filtering keeps users away from known malware, phishing and botnet sites. MDM integration lets policies be enforced automatically.
