GravityZone Security f.Virtual Env per CPU

In a virtualised environment, your security product helps decide how many guests fit on a host.

Description

When hundreds of virtual machines share the same hardware, every scan becomes everybody's problem. Checking each machine on its own creates exactly the load virtualisation projects are meant to avoid: the same operating system files get scanned again and again, and the resources are missing where they are needed — in the applications. GravityZone's module for virtualised environments addresses that.

It is hypervisor-independent. Only a lean agent stays inside the guest; the scanning is handled by dedicated Security Virtual Appliances at host level. Patented heuristics and multi-level caching keep identical files from being checked more than once. CPU, memory and IOPS stay available for the workloads, and latency drops.

Virtualised Windows and Linux guests are supported on VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization and Oracle, along with virtual desktops. A management layer provides consolidated real-time inventory regardless of the hypervisor in use. Licensing runs per CPU and term rather than per guest: with high consolidation the cost model stays predictable even as more machines are added.

What's included

• Protection for virtual guests – Windows and Linux on all common virtualisation platforms.
• Offloaded scanning – Security Virtual Appliances take over scan work at host level.
• Caching without duplicate scans – identical files are checked once.
• Consolidated inventory – real-time visibility across the virtualised estate.
• VDI support – protects virtual desktops even at high density.

Who it's for

The module is aimed at virtualisation and platform teams running many guests or virtual desktops on shared hardware, who do not want security effort to grow with every new machine. It also suits environments with more than one hypervisor.

Important: this is a renewal

This product renews an existing licence — you are not buying the base licence. The renewal continues seamlessly from your current term, so there is no gap in protection.

You need: a valid licence for the same product. If you do not have one yet, please order the base licence.

Good to know

• Platform independent – works with any hypervisor and in both Windows and Linux environments.
• Management – central GravityZone console.
• Licensing per CPU and term
• Renewal through the renewal product of the same name
