ESET Secure Authentication adds a second factor to the password – on a smartphone or with a hardware token.

Description

Employees reuse the same password at work and privately, and on shared workstations several people log in to the same machine every day. A stolen or guessed password is then enough to reach company data. ESET Secure Authentication tackles exactly that, combining the static password with a second, dynamic factor.

In daily use it stays simple: the user confirms a push notification in the app, enters a one-time password or uses a hardware key. The solution covers shared systems and services – Windows and server logins, Remote Desktop Protocol, VPN access, Online Web App, VMware Horizon View and RADIUS-based services. Through ADFS 3.0 or SAML you can also secure web and cloud services such as Microsoft 365, Google Apps or Dropbox. The cloud version requires an active ESET PROTECT Hub account; on-premises deployment is the alternative. Management runs through a browser-based console, with or without Active Directory. An SDK and API are available for your own applications.
